Newspaper advertisement: "BANK NOTE [obscured] ENGRAVING. J. LOWE respectfully informs the government and the public in general, that he has located himself at Galves-ton, for the purpose of carrying on the Engraving [page damaged] business in all its branches. From the quality of Vignet Dies, with various subjects, many of which are emblematic of the countay [sic], affords him every facility of getting up such work that cannot be sur-passed in the U. States, and from the specimens already done by him, will be a sufficient guarantee of his skill. - He solicits the public in general to call and peruse his specimen book. All orders directedd [sic] to him through the post office, with reference to some one in Galveston, will be thankfully received, and strict attention paid to the delivery of them at their respoctive [sic] places. N. B. Mercantile and business cards executed with neat-ness [page damaged] [illegible] despatch [obscured] also Notorial [sic] [obscured], counting [illegible] and desk [illegible], custom [obscured] house and State seals, certificates of Stock, Bank checks, drafts, bills of Exchange & c. No. 6, 22nd street, near avenue C, Galveston. All the papers in the Republic of Texas will give this one week's [obscured] insertion and forward their accounts to my office. nov [obscured] 19 3td-251 1tw J. LOWE."
