Newspaper advertisement: "A Valuable Book Will Soon Be Issued, from new stereotype plates, entitled 'The Campaign Of Walker's Division Of Texas Troops.' It is written by a private of the 16th Infantry, Col. Flournoy's Regiment, and made up from a Diary, kept from the date of the organization of the Regiment to the final disbandment at Hempstead. There is no survivor of that Division, and no one who had a relative or friend in it, who will not feel grateful to the author for detailing the thrilling stories of the hardships encountered and endured by its members, the dangers and sufferings of that gallant band, and giving to posterity a truthful record of their sublime heroism. The book is full of lively anecdotes of the camp, the march, the battlefield, and the hospitals. It has been submitted in manuscript to many of the late officers of Walker's Division, and approved by all who have seen it. It is especially commended by Gen. J. G. Walker for its truthfulness of detail and freedom from all prejudice. The book will be gotten up in excellent style, and be an ornament to any library. It will contain about two hundred pages. Mr. J. P. Blessington will canvass for advance subscriptions for the work. nov6-d1w&w1t"
