Pair of man's shoes. Black leather. Leather soles with low heels. Laces missing. Four eyelets per side. Heavy wear with some loss. Leather cracked. Also includes a detached wooden button. Hand made in 1875. Worn by Barry Champion, grandfather of the donor. Champion was born in Ireland in 1800, came to Alabama at the age of 10, and came to Madison County, Texas in 1850.
