Hill Texas Archive Research Notes
The title of this drawing is given in the book Hermann Lungkwitz: Romantic Landscapist on the Texas Frontier, by James Patrick McGuire, University of Texas Press, 1983, where it is listed in the catalogue raisonne as no. 20 on p. 168. McGuire describes the medium as pencil and crayon. It appears that the crayon was a chalk crayon.
