Accession information and accompanying card reads: "Photograph of Susan Tanner, wife of Edward M. Tanner. Gift of Mrs. W. V. Westfall". Genealogical information provided by other members of the Tanner family indicates that Edward M. Tanner's wife was Caroline McClendon, 1827 or 1877. His mother, Sally Moore Tanner, died in 1825. His daughter Sally Ann Tanner (Lum) was born in 1848.
