Infant's white cotton gown, hand-sewn, embroidered and tatted. Jewel neckline, long sleeves. Sleeve cuff is a band of embroidered and scalloped lace. Neck is edged in scalloped lace. Back closes with 3 small buttons. Front and back are decorated with six vertical tucks, 3 on each side of bodice followed by panel of embroidery with cut-outs, the center panel is of tatted lace. The skirt is gathered, the bottom edge (27cm) is decorated with 2 small tucks then a plain band of double thickness fabric followed by a band of tatted lace, a band of eyelet, another band of lace and ending with a band of embroidered eyelet with scalloped edges. The gown has some stains on it.
