Infant's white cotton batiste gown, hand-sewn, embroidered and eyelet. Scooped neck, short sleeved. Sleeves are made of panels running from neck to sleeve edge. Panels gathered strip of cotton alternating with strip of hand-embroidered eyelet, sleeve edge is decorated with hand-embroidered eyelet with scalloped edge. Neck edge is also scalloped eyelet. Front bodice made up of vertical panels of alternating eyelet and gathered strips. Band around waist hand-embroidered eyelet. Skirt is gathered; bottom 25cm is decorated with hand-embroidered eyelet of vines, leaves and flowers. Bottom edge is small embroidered scallops making up larger scallops. Badly stained, some rips; some have been repaired.
