Connected patches, with red silk hexagonals (sewn). cn) two patches, 8" L x 17" W; co) five patches, 13 3/4" L x 24 1/4" W; cp) Red silk (fabric for hexagons), 20 1/2" L x 38 1/2" W; cq) olive grey lining material, 24 1/4" L x 24" W, with note (ink on lined paper) glued to back: "Silk Quilt - to be put together with red silk./ Given to Daughters of Republic by Mrs. Dr. Nixon of Huntsville".
