Dress, child's. Cotton (or possibly linen). Plain dress with wide neck, slightly scooped. Neckline, sleeves - stitched outline, ~3/8". Short sleeves. Drawstring at neckline. Monogram at lower left of front, blue thread: "E H.M." Fair condition, severe staining (foxing?), moderate discoloration. Slight wrinkling. These articles of children's clothing (18372c1-9) belonged to the Reverend and Mrs. James (Rhoda Barton) Huckins. The Huckins' had four daughters born between 1833 and 1845.
