Slip, Infant's. Embroidery and lace, with tucks on the bodice and lower edge of skirt. Embroidery at the waistline and on cuffs of the sleeves. Lacework also on the capped sleeves. Slip opens at back, no enclosures or fasteners. Fair condition, severe staining, discoloration (yellowing). Moderate creasing. These articles of children's clothing (18372c1-9) belonged to the Reverend and Mrs. James (Rhoda Barton) Huckins. The Huckins' had four daughters born between 1833 and 1845.
