Handkerchief, Woman's. White linen, handstitched circle design; written inside the circle in brown ink (faded): "Mr. House/ 186 [1 or 7]". Good condition, folds. Belonged to Miss Edith House, daughter of T. W. House (brother of Colonel E.M. House, advisor to Woodrow Wilson) and the former Ruth Nicholson of Bastrop. Miss House was a native Houstonian and was one of the founders of the Houston Art Museum.
