Men's leather trousers have inseam pockets, button closure, and buttons at the waist for suspenders. Trousers belonged to Sam Maverick (1803-1870.) Comment: Maverick was a Texas land baron and legislator who made his home in San Antonio and owned land throughout west Texas. He was a two time mayor of San Antonio. The term "maverick" for an unbranded cow comes from his name as he let his cattle roam free.
