San Jacinto Battle Ground tract, no. 8. (photograph)
A group of people are posed in the open air under a moss-covered tree near a waterway. One man sits on a horse, a man and a woman sit in a surrey. Two men stand holding surveying poles, and a third rests his hand on a tripod. One woman holds a parasol, another sits and pets a dog. Written on back: Group picture made at San Jacinto Battleground, identified from left to right: W. A. Wilson (seated), W. R. Andrews (holding surveying pole), J. B. Hine and Wm. McCrea, Surveyor. From accession records: The woman with the parasol is Mrs. W. A. Wilson; the man behind the lady holding a dog is believed to be a Mr. Miller. W. A. Wilson owned the property first and Mr. Hine and Mr. Andrews were owners when the state condemned it.
