Hill Texas Archive Research Notes
The collector believes that this pot is an example of Isaac Suttles' work while he was at Wilson pottery. The shape of the jar and the capacity mark's design is nearly identical to another stoneware jar in the Bayou Bend Collection attributed to Isaac Suttles during his time with the Durham-Chandler-Wilson Pottery, also known as the Wilson Third Site.
